You cannot talk about New York rap history without mentioning the Wu-Tang Clan or D-Block, and now the two legendary crews from the rotten apple are about to add another interesting piece to their legacies.
Wu-Tang and D-Block have joined forces to release a joint album titled Wu-Block. Songs from the project have been leaking on the internet the past few months and they have mostly been by D- Block’s Sheek Louch and Wu’s Ghostface Killah.
Jadakiss revealed to Allhiphop that Sheek and Ghost sparked the project and members from the other crews hopped on it. “Wu-Block is something that Ghostface and Sheek Louch came up with but they just reached it out to the rest of the other Wu members, me and Styles P. We were like ‘hell yeah”, it’s definitely a good idea let’s get it done. They got it up and running .”
“I have about two or three more verses to complete and then they’re going to wrap it up and get it to the people, ” Jadakiss added. “From the songs I heard, everybody is down with it. I heard songs with Cappadonna, U-God, Raekwon. I know they got some beats on there from RZA. Pretty much the whole Wu-Tang Clan is on there. Ghost and Sheek are controlling the ship and we’re all participating.”
