Today we got the news that we lost a long time friend and artist from the site. Point Game aka Brandon Burris passed away on Friday at the age of 27. More information on his funeral can be found here.
This site is going on 11 years now. Overtime we have members who become like family to all of us. Then you get someone special like Brandon who touched so many lives with his post and music. In the game of hip hop you get every kind of ego you can imagine. Brandon was someone who had been through so much but still made the best of it. He always would say “everything happens for a purpose”.
I remember when he lost his mother, he was devastated. We had long talks about how he was dealing with it. When I lost my mother, he was there to listen and give encouragement. He was never one to shy away from God. He told you his beliefs and was never ashamed.
In losing someone close to you, it is hard to always dwell on the good times when the pain is still fresh and hurts tremendously, so we shall not only remember the good times about Brandon aka Point Game, but by the pain we feel, it will always serve as a reminder of how much he meant to us and how much he will be missed. R.I.P Brandon; a child and mother is again reunited.
